VHR seeks action on corrupt staff

The Congress Rajya Sabha member, Mr V. Hanumantha Rao, has demanded stern action, including suspension and removal of all corrupt higher officials in the state government immediately in order to provide clean and corrupt free administration. Addressing a media conference on Saturday, Mr Hanumantha Rao suggested to the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to emulate what his Bihar counterpart, Mr Nitish Kumar was doing in taking serious action against all corrupt babus.

The senior MP while referring to news reports suggesting that the Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Lotus Pond residence lacked permissions from the GHMC and had the tacit support of the GHMC additional commissioner, Mr Dhanunjaya Reddy, and other officials, Mr Hanumantha Rao demanded the CM to suspend the officials including Mr Navin Mittal who was responsible in granting illegal permissions and land allotments to influential people.

“If you take action against corrupt people, you and the party will get good image in public,” the MP told Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy. He also said that a high-level committee appointed during Mr Rosaiah’s regime found fault with the actions of Mr Navin Mittal while he was GHMC commissioner.
