Congress MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy resigned

The MP from Nellore submitted his resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, while aware of any other member of Anakapalli MP Sabbam Hari, his decision to quit in a few days.

Hari told reporters this was his last parliamentary session.

"There is the possibility of another MP submitting his resignation and he has asked me to wait for a week, and this is the reason why I have not quit today," said Hari.

Both Rajamohan and Hari are loyal to Jagan, as President of the YSR and the Congress party MP from Kadapa, is popularly known.

Rajamohan came two days after 29 state legislators, including 26 filed by the ruling Congress Party of its resignation to protest what they call the humble conspiracy to YSR, as was the late Chief Minister called in the vernacular.

Rajamohan recalled that after YSR death in a helicopter crash in 2009, all parliamentarians and legislators had a letter urging the leadership to make Jagan signed by the Chief Minister, but they took a U-turn when the leadership refused their demand.

The CBI had YSR name in the FIR but included Andhra Pradesh High Court had given no such direction, claiming Rajamohan.

The CBI in its FIR against Jagan and 71 others, said he conspired with YSR hand out favors to companies that invested in his company in a quid-pro-quo arrangement.

Rajamohan called the CBI probe a witch hunt against Jagan leave Congress Party. He also claimed that the Congress and the opposition Telugu Desam Party Jagan agreed target.

"All these conspiracies will not succeed because Jagan has the support of the population. They want his leadership," he claimed.
