Anna warns MPs who oppose Jan Lokpal

Sounding a warning to MPs who oppose Jan Lokpal Bill in the Parliament, Anna Hazare on Sunday said he would tour the entire country from next month to keep the torch of anti-corruption burning among the masses.

“This is a second freedom struggle. If my health permits, I will tour the entire country from next month to awaken the masses against corruption,” he said.

Hazare said the priority for them is to find out who is supporting the Jan Lokpal bill in Parliament. “Those who oppose Jan Lokpal, we should gherao them. We should not allow them to move out of their houses. While doing so, there should be no violence,” he said, adding that a mob of 1000-2000 should gherao each MP.

“If they send you to jail, be prepared for that...it will be a moment of pride,” he said.

Hazare said he was gearing up for his third agitation if their version of the Jan Lokpal Bill did not find favour. “After Jantar Mantar and Ramlila, we will find new space to hold our agitation,” Hazare said.
