Speaker for fast disposal of pleas
The Assembly Speaker, Mr Manohar Nadendla, said on Friday that his priority is to dispose of petitions filed on the six MLAs disqualification from their respective parties, and only then will he return his attention to the resignations of the pro-Jagan Mohan Reddy and MLAs Telangana legislators.
In an interview in his office with journalists in the Assembly, Mr. Manohar said he called the rebel Telugu Desam MLA, Mr N. Prasanna Kumar Reddy to appear before him on Monday to decide the petition against him and his resignation letter. He said the fate of the other MLAs have been filed against the petitions would be decided one by one from next week. They are: Mrs. Konda Surekha, Mr. Akeapati Amarnadh Reddy, Mr. C. Adinarayana Reddy, Srikanth Reddy Gadikota Mr, Ms Shobha Nagireddy and Mr. Y. Bala Nagireddy. With the exception of Mrs. Konda Surekha, while others have also filed their resignations.
Introduced in response to the repeated requests of four rebel MLAs TD Janardhan Reddy Mr. nagame, the spokesman said the decision is reserved in their cases, and will be announced in due course.
