How Ravi Prakash is scared of Jagan!
It is an open secret in the media circles that Ravi Prakash, the CEO of popular television channel TV9 is not as bold as the channel appears to be.
Especially with regard to telecasting stories against high profile persons, Ravi Prakash first carries the story worked out by his daring reporters; then goes underground by switching off his mobile and then later enters into compromise with the persons on whom the stories are done.
According to highly placed sources in the channel, a daring reporter carried a sting operation of some Jagan followers bringing pressure on pastors in churches to conduct special prayers and deliver preachings on Sundays in support of Jagan. The pastors were told to praise Jagan and declare him as innocent. They were warned of serious consequences, if they don’t pray for Jagan. Apparently, the threatening was carried out at the behest of Jagan’s evangelist brother-in-law Brother Anil Kumar.
The entire drama was captured by the TV9 reporter in a sting operation. And when it was brought to the notice of Ravi Prakash, he just spiked the story and refused to telecast it.
Sources said Jagan, who came to know about the sting operation, called up Ravi Prakash and requested him not to carry the story. A few lakhs of rupees are believed to have changed hands in the process.
Obviously, Ravi Prakash was scared of Jagan. In the past, he had to face troubles from Jagan, when he carried negative stories, but within a couple of days, TV9 went soft on the Kadapa MP.
